Hot Diggity has its roots in 1963 Tooele when guitarist Bobby Wassom and David Bickmore teamed up with drummer Jimmy-John Thomas. The fledgling band began its musical odyssey as “The Broughams” with an appearance on a regionally broadcast television show, Utah Talent Showcase. Over the next five years, the trio played for local dances and clubs, at the Terrace Ballroom in Salt Lake City and at Lagoon. They also toured briefly with Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, appeared on Paul Revere and The Raiders national television show “Happening 68”. The recent addition of multi-talented guitarist/vocalist/bassist Rick Blake and Taylor Thomas on drums comprise the current incarnation of “Hot Diggity,” a Rock n’ roll/ Americana band with an original Tooele sound.

The Buckaroo Balladeers cut their trails in the West Desert of Utah. J.C., nominated twice for Male Vocalist of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists, grew up cowboy’n on family ranches and has spent some time riding bulls and bareback buckin’ horses in Europe. Sonja spent her early years on the back of some fine, European dressage horses. They are one of Western Music’s premier husband/wife duos. From up-beat, wild and wooly Cowboy Songs, to deep and meaningful Western Ballads, The Buckaroo Balladeers are deeply rooted in the Cowboy lifestyle and live it every day. Through their music, they will conjure up visions of ridin’ rank horses, ropin’ with 60 foot riatas, hot iron brandin’ and may even jerk at your heartstrings a bit. Their music is not only known across the U.S., but in Canada, Australia and throughout Europe, as well. They are proud members of the Western Music Association and the Academy of Western Artists.
